STAKEHOLDER UPDATES / TEMPLATES

PM Communication Pack.

24 fill-in templates for status updates, exec asks, saying no, delays, and investor or board updates.

Paid TemplatesPaid template · Gumroad24 templatesStakeholder updatesPDF / DOCX / Markdown
Write the update, get the decision, and move on. A lot of a PM's week goes into writing: the Friday status, the exec ask, the no to Sales, the delay notice nobody wants to send, the investor update that takes an afternoon. This pack gives you a proven structure for each of these, and shows what a strong version looks like next to a weak one.

Every template has the same five parts: when to use it, and when to use a different template instead; the fill-in template; a worked example for Northpine, one fictional B2B SaaS company that runs through every template, so the examples read as one project story; a bad-vs-good rewrite with the reasons the rewrite works; a short before-you-send checklist.

02

Format and the drafting prompt

Each template has when to use it, the fill-in, a Northpine example, a bad-vs-good rewrite, and a before-you-send checklist. An AI drafting prompt turns bullet notes plus the template into a draft in ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini. Missing facts come back marked [MISSING], and the draft flags the 3 weakest sentences. A pick-by-situation index maps 44 situations, such as a committed launch date that is going to slip, or two teams that disagree on ownership and nobody is deciding, to the right template. Formats: a 60+ page PDF typeset for reading and printing; one DOCX you can open in Word or Google Docs; one Markdown file per template for Notion, Obsidian, or any editor; and a CSV index (Situation / Audience / Template / File) you can import into Notion or Airtable.

03

Who it's for

PMs and senior PMs who write to execs, Sales, Support, and partner teams every week. New PMs who want to see what good looks like. Founders and product leads drafting investor updates and board pre-reads.

04

Scope and format

This is a document pack (PDF, DOCX, Markdown, CSV), not a Notion template. You can import the Markdown files and the CSV index into Notion yourself. Every template works on its own. The AI prompt is optional and works with any chat assistant. Upload the DOCX to Google Drive and open it with Google Docs. Northpine and every person, customer, and number in the examples are fictional. The investor-update template is a communication format only, not financial or legal advice. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
